Sep 16 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Kendall Henderson, creative director and designer based out of NYC, kicks off our series on Wednesday, 9/16, at 12:30pm in conversation with a panel of students and faculty.
FREE and open to all!
Aiming to create a conduit between “free agent” collaborators and purposeful projects, Kendall works as one of the founding members of the creative collective Please Respect Our Neighbors. His work falls into the categories of branding and campaign-driven concepts, using many communication mediums and design disciplines to redefine brands. He has worked with clients like DKNY, Nike, Google, and more, but above all seeks collaborative projects that have a longer life, with intent to progress the spaces in which these projects are developed. He aims to positively affect environment, behavior, and society using subtle and lasting design-based influence.
He believes that all work to be achieved should be aspirational, driven by curiosity and the strive for new approaches beyond expressive visual stimuli. And, this work remains rooted in efficient design process and graphic communication.
Hosted by the BFA Graphic Design program at Pacific Northwest college of Art since 2016, the Design Lecture Series welcomes designers from all over the world to share their work and what moves them. The fall 2020 evolution of our series will take advantage of the potential for more interaction across our distances by hosting panel discussions in the place of traditional lectures. As a way to open our doors and minds to the broad and vibrant possibilities in design, panels will be driven by current students in conversation with a diverse set of fascinating creative folks who break expectations of what design can be and do in the world today.
