Valentine’s Day Seminar Jasmine Johnson Thursday Feb 14 from 11:00-12:30, Hammer

Me Too; Now What? We’ve heard their stories, we’ve told our own but when and how does the healing begin? Jasmine, Licensed Clinical Therapist, provides an introduction to the journey to addressing and healing from all forms of sexual violence and violations. This will jumpstart participants understanding and motivation to begin to work through the traumas associated with sexual harassment, rape, molestation, violence, and sexually inappropriate behaviors. While the movement against those that violate has been a huge collective step, many are left with an open wound that affects them daily. This seminar is designed to address and validate triggers, and offering coping mechanisms for sexual trauma; as well as for family, friends, and community allies wanting to provide support.

Jasmine Johnson-DeCosta, the owner of Blue Pearl Therapy LLC, has been providing therapeutic services in a variety of settings for over 15 years. She has been fulfilled at helping clients work through challenging times and reach their goals. Jasmine is a solution-focused therapist with an emphasis on a strength-based approach. Her clients are able to identify their own strengths, resiliency, and resources to improve any situation causing distress. Jasmine has extensive work with clients living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Medical Illness and Injury Counseling, Military/Civilian Sexual Trauma, Veteran and Caregiver Related Stressors.
